About the Role
The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who proactively improves engineering processes of the company through innovative ideas and design and carrying them through to final products.
The incumbent will work on all stages of our production cycle, from research and mechanical design to manufacturing, installation, and evaluation.
The successful candidate will be a highly creative individual with the ability to develop lasting solutions to our clients' problems. The top candidate will have the ability to communicate their technical ideas in a clear manner, both visually and verbally.
Leading the mechanical design, production engineering, and installation of components and assemblies that fulfill client requirements
Analyzing problems or deficiencies in design and manufacturing processes and developing solutions to resolve them
Conducting experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product design
Creating plans and designs using CAD technology
Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project
Writing technical documentation for machine operators and final assembly
Ensuring that products meet compliance regulations
Collaborating with project managers and other engineers in our team
Synthesis, analysis (kinematic and dynamic) and optimization of mechanisms (linkages, gears, cam and springs)
Finite element analysis
Motor sizing calculation
Mathematical modelling and model-Based design
CAD/CAE (for plastics, sheet metal)
Prototyping with DFM/DFA, FMEA/DFMEA, GD&T, Stack-up tolerance analysis
Additive manufacturing and biometrics knowledge a big plus
Education and Experience
MTech in Robotics or MTech in Mechanical System design
Minimum 10 years of experience in making Electromechanical products (e.g. Robotic end effectors or Robotic arms)
Proven experience with a full product lifecycle (ideation to manufacturing)
Minimum 3 products in the portfolio which are being sold in the market
Ability to design products in minimal form factor (anthropomorphic) integrating electronics components (PCB, Battery, LED, and switches)
